DAVID GOUTHRO - SPIRIT AT WORK

Innovation and Ethics: Peaceful Collaborators or Strange Bedfellows

with David Gouthro
The Consulting Edge

Thursday, April 21, 2005
12:15pm - 1:30pm

Terasen (BC Gas) Building
Main Floor 1111 West Georgia St. Vancouver

— Just because something new can be done, should it be done? — What do we actually mean when we say “innovation”?
— Should different values be applied to social innovations and technological innovations?
— When is the best time to introduce ethical considerations into the process of innovation?
— Is there a set of values that is appropriate and relevant to innovation?

Debates rage...
and fortunately there are no right or easy answers to these questions.  Fortunate because you’ll have an opportunity to explore these and other related questions with your peers, friends and colleagues.

So please bring along your opinions (loosely held, please), your inquiring mind, and a burning desire to contribute to, what's sure to be, a rousing conversation.

Please -- RSVP by Wednesday April 20th so that we can make accurate catering arrangements.

RSVP phone: 604.685.6560
RSVP email:
info@workplacecentre.org.com

Cost:  $15.00 Members and $20.00 Non-members

See you there!

About David Gouthro

Drawing on 20 years experience – working in a wide range of organizations on three continents – enables David to provoke leaders to question, challenge and change the way they work.

Two years as a Performance Consultant with Wilson Learning and six years at Apple Canada led him to incorporate The Consulting Edge: Movers & Shakers, Inc. in 1988. Since then he has been helping people in organizations change the way they lead, manage, think, create and collaborate in support of achieving personal and organizational success. And, becoming a first-time parent at the tender age of 48 has provided him with five years of refreshing new insights into the way life really works!
